This beautiful new pendant is a companion piece to the monumental 'Long Conveyor' installation that was a centrepiece both of Blanche's recent survey show at Geelong Gallery and her first exhibition at Funaki.
Made with a combination of hand and digital processes, it speaks to the nature of industrialised production, with the glass elements rolling like a conveyor belt.
Adjustable length, min diameter 13cm, max 23cm.
Unlimited edition. Flameworked borosilicate glass, titanium, sterling silver, stainless steel cable.
Blanche Tilden has developed a unique approach to her materials, in particular glass, which she explores both as a material for jewellery making and a universal metaphor. Her fascination with mechanical devices, fueled by a desire to understand how things work, continually inspires her work. She lives and works in Melbourne.
